- Cops - All law enforcement agencies, Neighborhood Watch groups, organizations, and/or programs that have made an exceptional contribution to the Neighborhood Watch program in their communities are encouraged to submit nominations to the National Sheriffs' Association by March 31, 2006. - DOJ Grants - The Department offers funding opportunities to conduct research, to support law enforcement activities in state and local jurisdictions, to provide training and technical assistance, and to implement programs that improve the criminal justice system.

- FCIC National Contact Center - Federal Loans, Grants, and Assistance - The best overall source is the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance, available for use at most - but not all - Government Depository Libraries , on-line through the General Services Administration, or for sale by the Government Printing Office's bookstores . The Catalog lists most "assistance" programs of the Government, some of which do not offer financial assistance. When using either version of the Catalog, make sure that you note both the beneficiary and the applicant. In some cases, applicants must be State or local governments. This means that individuals have to determine whether their State has applied for the program and which State office to contact. You can usually find this information from the Headquarters or Regional contacts listed for the program.

- Government Grants - Grants.gov allows organizations to electronically find and apply for more than $400 billion in Federal grants. Grants.gov is THE single access point for over 1000 grant programs offered by all Federal grant-making agencies. - National Institute of Justice - NIJ is the research, development, and evaluation agency of the U.S. Department of Justice and is dedicated to researching crime control and justice issues. NIJ provides objective, independent, evidence-based knowledge and tools to meet the challenges of crime and justice, particularly at the State and local levels. NIJ's principal authorities are derived from the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, as amended (see 42 USC § 3721-3723) and Title II of the Homeland Security Act of 2002.

- NCJRS Grants and Funding - Much like other Federal agencies, offices and bureaus within the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) provide three types of funding to State, local, and private agencies and organizations: Formula (or Block), Discretionary, and Congressional Earmarks. Note that most of OJP and other Federal agency grant funds are dispersed through Formula programs and Congressional Earmarks.
